Kimberly Baldwin

Kimberly’s dedication and commitment to community-centered work is deeply rooted in personal experience. Raised in a household where service to others was modeled daily by her parents, she developed a strong foundation of compassion and responsibility as well as an early understanding of the power of giving back, which continues to guide her today. She is also driven by the loss of her younger cousin—affectionately described as her “mini me”—whose life was tragically cut short, yet whose passion for helping others continues to live on through Kimberly’s leadership and generosity. Through these experiences, she has come to recognize the urgent and interconnected challenges of affordable housing and food insecurity, and she remains firmly committed to creating lasting, meaningful impact within the communities she serves.  Guided by the values of integrity, transparency, collaboration, equality, and service, Kimberly believes that sustainable change begins with listening, building trust, and honoring the voices of those most impacted. As Executive Chair, she focuses on governance, strategic growth, and mission alignment, ensuring Rooted In CDC remains grounded in community needs while positioned for responsible expansion. Her vision is to build a strong, values-driven leadership team capable of creating an enduring impact that extends far beyond any single individual.
