Join Rooted In Community Development Corporation (RICDC) on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 11am until 2:30pm at the corner of Cadillac and Shoemaker on Detroit's eastside, for our Community Clean Sweep as we work together to beautify our neighborhood. Volunteers will be cleaning street curbs and removing litter and debris along Shoemaker Street from Pennsylvania Street to Hurlbut Street, covering approximately two blocks of our community. We encourage neighbors, families, and community partners to join us as we work side by side to create a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful neighborhood for everyone. Together, we can make a lasting difference—one block at a time.
